agujón

A needle of larger size made out of metal, bone, wood or cactus spine that has an eye through which a thread passes and whose functions are i) to join physico-structural components with stitches and joins, ii) join attached components and iii) join together extended components. Used for less fine work: tacking stitch and basting.

Barra de mayor tamaño de metal, hueso, madera o espino de cacto, que cuenta con un ojo grande para pasar un hilo, y cuyas funciones son i) unir los componentes físicos-estructurales con uniones y costuras, ii) unir componentes adjuntados y iii) unir componentes extendidos. Se usa para los trabajos menos finas: basta e hilvanado.
