técnica llana

Technique which refers to the simplest form of interlacing the warp with the weft in a plain weave. This can be varied by modifying the spacing, flexibility and the thickness of the warp and weft threads, or by grouping these elements in new units, without varying the simple alternation that defines the plain weave. Tese variants include warp face, when the spacing of the warp threads predominates over those of the weft, and weft face, when the spacing of the weft threads predominates over those of the warp. It also includes the variants of taffeta, linen, etc.

Técnica que se refiere a la forma más simple de entrelazar la urdimbre con la trama en un tejido llano. Se puede variar esta técnica al modificar el espaciamiento, flexibilidad o grosor de los hilos de urdimbre y trama, o al agrupar estos elementos en unidades mayores, sin variar la alternación simple que define el tejido llano. Estas variantes incluyen faz de urdimbre, cuando domina el espaciamiento de los hilos de urdimbre sobre los de la trama, y faz de trama, cuando domina el espaciamiento de los hilos de trama sobre los de urdimbre. Incluye también las variantes de tafetán, lino, etc.
