Breed of alpaca which today makes up 90% of the herds in the Andes, and has shorty and spongier fibres than the suri. Its fibre is often compared to that of the Corriedale sheep.

Fenotipo de la alpaca que actualmente conforma 90% de los rebaños en los Andes, y que cuenta con fibras más cortas y esponjosas que del suri. Su fibra se suele comparar con la de la oveja Corriedale.
